Description

Make simple, sweet, and slightly crispy cinnamon apple rings quickly using your air fryer. This recipe is a fast dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and core the apples. Slice the apples into rings about 1/4 inch thick. Discard the ends.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
  3. Lightly brush both sides of each apple ring with the melted butter or oil.
  4. Dredge the apple rings in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the coated apple rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping the rings halfway through the cooking time. The edges should look slightly caramelized and the apples should be tender.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use firm apples for the best texture; soft apples may become mushy.
  • If you prefer a less sweet snack, reduce the brown sugar to 1 tablespoon.
  • For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the rings with cooking spray before adding the sugar mixture.
