Description

Cook frozen, unthawed shrimp directly in your air fryer for perfectly juicy and tender results in under 15 minutes with a simple garlic butter seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen raw shrimp, shells on or off, unthawed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted (for tossing after cooking)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Lightly spray the frozen shrimp with cooking spray or toss them gently with half of the oil and spice mixture.
  4. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 6 minutes.
  5. Remove the basket, shake well, and flip the shrimp. Brush or toss with the remaining spice mixture.
  6. Return to the air fryer and cook for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque throughout. The total cook time will be 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Immediately transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl. Drizzle with the melted butter and toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve right away.

Notes

  • For extra crispy shrimp, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • If you prefer a spicier flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
  • Do not thaw the shrimp before cooking; cooking from frozen ensures a better texture.
