Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Form the meat mixture into about 12 small, uniform oval shapes, resembling mini meatloaves.
- Wrap each mini meatloaf with a half-slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the bacon-wrapped meatloaves on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to create the glaze.
- Brush or spoon the glaze over the top of each meatloaf bite.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
- Let them rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the meat mixture.
- If you don’t have breadcrumbs, you can use crushed crackers or oats.
- Ensure the bacon is evenly distributed around each meatloaf for consistent crisping.
