Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack set over a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- While the wings bake, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl to create the glaze.
- After 25 minutes, remove the wings from the oven. Brush generously with half of the sweet chili glaze.
- Return the wings to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the oven. Toss the hot wings with the remaining glaze immediately before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can bake the wings uncovered for the first 25 minutes.
- You can garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds if you like.
- Patting the wings very dry before tossing with oil helps achieve a better crust.
