- 1 large onion, chopped

- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained

- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Drain off excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Stir well.
- Add the diced sweet potatoes, kidney beans, and black beans.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender. Stir occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
