- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed or by hand until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours. Chilling is key for the best texture and flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop the dough into balls, about 2 tablespoons each, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets. For bakery-style thickness, you can gently press the tops down slightly.
