Classic No-Bake Bourbon Balls

  • Author: Ahazzam
  • Total Time: 15 min
  • Yield: About 20 balls
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Make these simple, rich bourbon balls using vanilla wafers, pecans, and bourbon. This recipe requires no baking and sets quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped pecans, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Mix these dry ingredients well.
  2. Add the bourbon and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is fully combined and a stiff dough forms.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Roll each ball in the reserved powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the finished bourbon balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving or storing.

Notes

  • If the mixture seems too dry, add bourbon one teaspoon at a time until the dough holds together.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
  • Store the finished balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
