Description
Make these simple, rich bourbon balls using vanilla wafers, pecans, and bourbon. This recipe requires no baking and sets quickly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place the vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped pecans, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Mix these dry ingredients well.
- Add the bourbon and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is fully combined and a stiff dough forms.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each ball in the reserved powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Place the finished bourbon balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving or storing.
Notes
- If the mixture seems too dry, add bourbon one teaspoon at a time until the dough holds together.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
- Store the finished balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
