- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-2 teaspoons sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or your favorite)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, chocolate chips, chopped nuts
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Pour in the almond milk and stir everything together until well combined. Make sure there are no clumps of cocoa powder.
- Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Before serving, stir the oats. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk.
- Add your favorite toppings and enjoy your brownie batter overnight oats!
Notes
- Adjust the sweetener to your preference.
- For a richer chocolate flavor, you can add a few drops of chocolate extract.
- If you don’t have chia seeds, you can omit them, but the texture will be less thick.
