Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium head cauliflower, riced
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- Fresh basil leaves
- Additional mozzarella cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rice the cauliflower using a food processor or a box grater.
- Steam or microwave the riced cauliflower until tender, then let it cool.
- Squeeze out as much moisture as possible from the cauliflower using a cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel. This step is crucial for a crispy crust.
- In a bowl, combine the dried cauliflower, beaten egg, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until it forms a dough.
- Press the dough evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming a pizza crust.
- Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over it.
- Sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese and arrange fresh basil leaves on top.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- For an extra crispy crust, you can pre-bake the cauliflower for a few minutes before squeezing out the moisture.
- Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings.
- Ensure the cauliflower is completely dry before mixing to prevent a soggy crust.
