  • 2 cups cooked, shredded fried chicken
  • 1 cup prepared waffle batter
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped chives


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the waffle batter, maple syrup, melted butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded fried chicken. If using, stir in the cheddar cheese and chives.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden brown on top.
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
