Description
Make this Chocolate Hazelnut Overnight Oats for an easy, indulgent breakfast. You get rich chocolate flavor and creamy texture ready when you wake up.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir these dry ingredients well.
- Add the milk, maple syrup, and hazelnut spread to the jar.
- Stir everything together until the cocoa powder and hazelnut spread are mostly mixed in. It’s okay if it looks a little streaky now.
- Seal the container and shake well, or stir again thoroughly after five minutes to prevent clumping.
- Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, stir well before eating. Add a splash more milk if it is too thick.
Notes
- Feel free to add chopped hazelnuts on top before serving for extra crunch.
- Adjust the sweetener to match your preference.
- Use your favorite type of milk; almond or oat milk works very well here.
