Description
Make soft, gooey cinnamon roll bites quickly using refrigerated biscuit dough baked in a buttery cinnamon sugar syrup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Open the biscuit dough can and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
- In a medium bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together. Toss the biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in the prepared baking pan.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar until combined. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces in the pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
- For extra glaze, whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons milk after the bites come out of the oven, then drizzle over the top.
- You can use crescent roll dough instead of biscuit dough for a slightly flakier texture.
- If you prefer an air fryer method, cook at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes, checking frequently.
