Description
Make rich, no-bake chocolate balls featuring a creamy pistachio butter center and a crunchy kataifi thread coating. These gourmet bites are simple to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fine digestive biscuits or graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup pistachio butter (smooth)
- 1 cup white chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup kataifi (shredded phyllo dough), lightly toasted
Instructions
- Combine the biscuit crumbs, softened butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix until a uniform dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Press a small indentation into the center of each ball and fill it with about 1/2 teaspoon of pistachio butter. Gently seal the dough around the filling to reform the ball shape.
- Place the filled balls on a parchment-lined tray and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
- In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate and dark chocolate separately using short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled ball first into the dark chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place it back on the parchment paper.
- Immediately roll the chocolate-coated ball in the toasted kataifi threads until fully covered.
- If desired, drizzle with the melted white chocolate for decoration.
- Return the finished Dubai chocolate balls to the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is completely set, about 1 hour.
Notes
- To toast the kataifi, spread it thinly on a baking sheet and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 5-8 minutes, watching closely until golden brown.
- For a glossy finish on the chocolate coating, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to each chocolate batch before melting.
- Store these chocolate balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
