Description

Make rich, no-bake chocolate balls featuring a creamy pistachio butter center and a crunchy kataifi thread coating. These gourmet bites are simple to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fine digestive biscuits or graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup pistachio butter (smooth)
  • 1 cup white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup kataifi (shredded phyllo dough), lightly toasted

Instructions

  1. Combine the biscuit crumbs, softened butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix until a uniform dough forms.
  2. Roll the dough into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Press a small indentation into the center of each ball and fill it with about 1/2 teaspoon of pistachio butter. Gently seal the dough around the filling to reform the ball shape.
  4. Place the filled balls on a parchment-lined tray and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate and dark chocolate separately using short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled ball first into the dark chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place it back on the parchment paper.
  7. Immediately roll the chocolate-coated ball in the toasted kataifi threads until fully covered.
  8. If desired, drizzle with the melted white chocolate for decoration.
  9. Return the finished Dubai chocolate balls to the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is completely set, about 1 hour.

Notes

  • To toast the kataifi, spread it thinly on a baking sheet and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 5-8 minutes, watching closely until golden brown.
  • For a glossy finish on the chocolate coating, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to each chocolate batch before melting.
  • Store these chocolate balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
