Description
Make this simple, refreshing watermelon smoothie quickly. It uses few ingredients and is perfect for a light breakfast or a cooling summer snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups cubed seedless watermelon, frozen
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup water or coconut water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Place the frozen watermelon cubes, frozen strawberries, water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
- Add the optional sweetener if you prefer a sweeter taste.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more liquid and blend again briefly.
- Pour immediately into glasses and serve cold.
Notes
- For a thicker, bowl-style smoothie, reduce the added liquid to 1/4 cup.
- Use only frozen fruit to achieve the best creamy texture without adding ice.
- If you do not have frozen watermelon, use fresh watermelon and add 1/2 cup of ice cubes.
