Description
Prepare tender, flavorful baked salmon fillets coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with fresh lemon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Arrange a few thin lemon slices on top of the butter mixture on each fillet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For crispier skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before baking.
- You can substitute fresh herbs like parsley and dill for dried herbs if you have them available.
- This recipe works well with frozen salmon if you thaw it completely first.
