Description

Prepare tender, flavorful baked salmon fillets coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with fresh lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Arrange a few thin lemon slices on top of the butter mixture on each fillet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before baking.
  • You can substitute fresh herbs like parsley and dill for dried herbs if you have them available.
  • This recipe works well with frozen salmon if you thaw it completely first.
