Description

Prepare this nutritious breakfast the night before for a fast, healthy grab-and-go meal in the morning.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)


Instructions

  1. In a jar or container with a lid, combine the rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, sweetener, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir well until all ingredients are mixed.
  3. Seal the container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir the mixture. If it is too thick, add a splash more milk.
