Description

Prepare these simple, high-protein energy bites quickly without baking. They are a smart, grab-and-go snack option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla or unflavored protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed or chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons water or milk (if needed for binding)

Instructions

  1. Place the rolled oats, protein powder, and flaxseed or chia seeds into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly using a sturdy spoon or your hands until a uniform, thick dough forms.
  4. If the mixture seems too dry to hold together, add water or milk one teaspoon at a time until the dough is workable.
  5. Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Place the finished bites on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Refrigerate the bites for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • Store these energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • You can substitute peanut butter with almond butter or sunflower seed butter for variety.
  • For added texture, mix in 1/4 cup of mini dark chocolate chips before rolling.
