Description
You can beat the summer heat with this incredibly simple and creamy frozen hot chocolate. This recipe takes under five minutes to make and uses only three main ingredients for a delicious, frosty chocolate treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup milk (whole milk works best for creaminess)
- 1/2 cup hot chocolate mix (your favorite brand)
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Chocolate syrup or curls, for garnish
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients: milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice.
- Place the milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice cubes into your blender.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick, resembling a frosty shake. This usually takes about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Taste the mixture. If you prefer it sweeter, add a small amount of sugar or a drizzle of chocolate syrup and blend again briefly.
- Pour the creamy frozen hot chocolate immediately into tall glasses.
- Top generously with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate curls or drizzle with extra chocolate syrup before serving.
Notes
- For an extra decadent, copycat-style frozen hot chocolate, substitute 1/4 cup of the milk with chocolate fudge sauce before blending.
- If you want a thicker texture, reduce the amount of milk slightly or add a few more ice cubes.
- This recipe is kid-friendly, but for an adult version, you can add a splash of coffee liqueur or dark rum during the blending stage.
