Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 (6-ounce) boneless pork chops
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops to the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, thyme, and lemon juice.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic herb butter sauce over them.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to coat the pork chops.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For thicker pork chops, you may need to adjust the cooking time. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Feel free to add other herbs like rosemary or chives to the sauce.
- A splash of white wine or chicken broth can be added to the sauce for extra flavor.
