Description

Enjoy these juicy pork chops smothered in a quick and flavorful garlic herb butter sauce. This easy skillet dinner is perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 (6-ounce) boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops to the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the chopped parsley, thyme, and lemon juice.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic herb butter sauce over them.
  7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to coat the pork chops.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For thicker pork chops, you may need to adjust the cooking time. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Feel free to add other herbs like rosemary or chives to the sauce.
  • A splash of white wine or chicken broth can be added to the sauce for extra flavor.
