- 1 pound firm white fish fillets (like cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 corn tortillas
- For the Lime Crema:
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Optional Toppings: Shredded cabbage, diced avocado, chopped cilantro, salsa, pickled red onions
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the fish fillets.
- Grill the fish for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the fish is grilling, prepare the lime crema. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt until smooth.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side, or until softened.
- Flake the grilled fish into bite-sized pieces.
- Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with grilled fish, drizzling with lime crema, and adding your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can also pan-sear the fish if you don’t have a grill.
- Adjust the lime juice and garlic in the crema to your preference.
- Feel free to experiment with different types of firm white fish.
