Description

Make these simple, festive Grinch Oreo Balls for your holiday gatherings. This no-bake recipe uses crushed Oreos and cream cheese, coated in green candy melts and topped with a small red heart.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz green candy melts or white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for melting)
  • Red heart sprinkles or small red candies (for the Grinch heart)

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
  2. Transfer the crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese.
  3. Mix the crumbs and cream cheese together using a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon until fully combined and a dough forms.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
  6. Melt the green candy melts according to package directions. If using, stir in the coconut oil for smoother dipping.
  7. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted green coating, ensuring it is fully covered. Tap off any excess coating.
  8. Place the coated ball back onto the parchment paper.
  9. Immediately press one red heart sprinkle onto the top of each ball to resemble the Grinch’s heart.
  10. Allow the candy coating to set completely at room temperature, or chill briefly to speed up the process.

Notes

  • If you do not have a food processor, place Oreos in a large zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • For a brighter green, add a drop of green food coloring to the melted candy coating before dipping.
  • Store finished Grinch Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
