Description
A quick and easy side dish featuring sweet corn cooked in a skillet with honey and butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the corn kernels to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes until the corn is tender and slightly caramelized.
- Stir in the honey, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 more minute until everything is combined and heated through.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- If using frozen corn, do not thaw it before adding it to the skillet.
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter by cooking the butter until the milk solids turn brown before adding the corn.
- You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a slight kick.
