Description
Deliciously sweet and savory chicken wings coated in a sticky honey-soy glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint, wing tips discarded
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the glaze.
- Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until cooked through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- For extra crispiness, you can broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- You can marinate the wings for a longer period (up to a few hours) for more intense flavor.
- Ensure wings are in a single layer on the baking sheet for even cooking and crisping.
