Description
Elevate your grilled cheese game with this inside-out method! We’re putting the cheese on the outside for an ultra-crispy, golden crust that’s pure cheesy bliss.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite blend)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Flip two slices of bread so the unbuttered side is up. Sprinkle half the shredded cheese evenly over these two slices.
- Top with the other two bread slices, buttered side up.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, place the sandwich.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese around the edges of the sandwich in the pan.
- Carefully flip the sandwich.
- Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the second side is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has formed a lovely crust.
- Remove from skillet and let it rest for a minute before slicing and enjoying.
Notes
- Using a good melting cheese is key for that gooey center.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook one sandwich at a time if needed.
- Adjust heat to prevent burning while ensuring cheese melts.
