Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, gently toss the mixed berries with granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and lemon juice. Pour the berry mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the crumble topping.
- Add the cold butter cubes to the oat mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the berries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berry filling is bubbly.
- Let the crumble cool slightly before serving. It’s wonderful served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- You can use any combination of berries you like, such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries.
- If using frozen berries, do not thaw them before mixing.
- For an extra crunch, you can add a handful of chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts to the crumble topping.
