  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another small bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
