Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another small bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches.
