A warm and comforting peach cobbler, perfect for sharing.

- 6-8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss gently to coat the peaches.
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour the milk into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh, ripe peaches.
- You can use frozen peaches, but they may release more liquid. Thaw and drain them before using.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
