Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe peaches, sliced
- 8 cups water
- 6 black tea bags
- 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
- Ice
- Fresh mint sprigs (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the sliced peaches to the boiling water and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the peaches are soft.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, or according to tea bag instructions.
- Remove the tea bags and peach slices from the pot. You can lightly mash the peaches against the side of the pot to extract more flavor before removing them.
- Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice with fresh peach slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- For a stronger peach flavor, use more peaches.
- You can use green tea or other types of tea if you prefer.
- Store in a pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
