Description

This recipe brings the beloved taste of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a creamy, frozen treat. Enjoy the nostalgic flavors of peanut butter and fruity jelly swirled into a delightful ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fruit jelly or jam (your favorite flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the peanut butter to the cream mixture. Whisk until the peanut butter is mostly incorporated. Some small lumps are okay.
  3. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the jelly or jam. Continue churning until it’s swirled throughout the ice cream.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Notes

  • Using a good quality jelly or jam will enhance the flavor.
  • For a smoother swirl, you can warm the jelly slightly before adding it.
  • Feel free to experiment with different jelly flavors like grape, strawberry, or raspberry.
