Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made flatbread crust (about 10-12 inches)
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the flatbread crust directions, usually around 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Place the flatbread crust on a baking sheet.
- Brush the surface of the flatbread evenly with olive oil.
- Scatter the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese over the oiled crust.
- Arrange the thin pear slices over the cheese.
- Drizzle the honey lightly over the top.
- Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of black pepper.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and slice immediately to serve.
Notes
- Choose a firm but ripe pear for the best texture, like Bosc or Anjou.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, use a less pungent blue cheese like Danish Blue instead of Gorgonzola.
- A drizzle of balsamic glaze after baking adds a nice tang.
- For extra crunch, toast the crust slightly before adding toppings.
