Description
Make a quick, zesty, and creamy Louisiana-style remoulade sauce perfect for seafood, sandwiches, or as a dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Creole mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine the mayonnaise, Creole mustard, ketchup, horseradish, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl.
- Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and uniform in color.
- Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and green onion.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and mix well.
- Taste the sauce and adjust hot sauce or cayenne for desired spice level.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
Notes
- For a sugar-free or Keto version, omit the ketchup entirely and increase the hot sauce slightly for depth.
- This sauce pairs well with fried shrimp, crab cakes, or as the dressing for a Po’ Boy sandwich.
- The sauce thickens slightly as it chills.
