Description
Make this light and fluffy whipped ricotta dip quickly. It combines savory garlic and herbs with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle, perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, chopped (like chives or parsley)
- 2 tablespoons hot honey, plus extra for drizzling
Instructions
- Place the ricotta cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper into a food processor or a bowl if using a hand mixer.
- Process or whip the mixture until it becomes very smooth, light, and fluffy, about 1 to 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed.
- Transfer the whipped ricotta to a serving bowl.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh herbs over the top of the dip.
- Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of hot honey evenly over the dip. Add more honey on top just before serving if you prefer extra sweetness.
- Serve immediately with crackers, pita bread, or vegetables.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use full-fat ricotta cheese.
- If you do not have a food processor, use a stand mixer or hand mixer to achieve the light texture.
- You can substitute the hot honey with regular honey and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a similar effect.
- This dip is best served the day it is made for the lightest texture.
