Fresh and vibrant shrimp ceviche perfect for a light and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Avocado, for serving
  • Tortilla chips, for serving


Instructions

  1. Cut the shrimp into 1/2-inch pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, lime juice, and orange juice. Stir to coat the shrimp evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
  4. Drain any excess liquid from the shrimp.
  5. Add the red onion, cucumber, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using) to the bowl with the shrimp.
  6. Gently stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately with sliced avocado and tortilla chips.
