- 2 ounces hot water (not boiling)
- 8-10 ounces milk of your choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- Ice cubes

Instructions
- Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to prevent clumps.
- Add the hot water to the matcha powder.
- Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a small whisk until the matcha is fully dissolved and a frothy layer forms on top.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the milk over the ice.
- Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk.
- Add sweetener if desired and stir to combine.
