Description
Enjoy these incredibly tender, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs made right in your slow cooker. The cola adds a wonderful sweetness and helps tenderize the meat for delicious barbecue-style ribs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3-4 pounds pork ribs (St. Louis style or baby back)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 (12 ounce) can cola
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)
Instructions
- Pat the pork ribs dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork ribs.
- Place the seasoned ribs in your slow cooker.
- Pour the can of cola over the ribs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are very tender.
- Carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet.
- Brush the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and slightly caramelized. Watch closely to prevent burning.
