- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 30-40 minutes, until onions are deeply golden brown and caramelized.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine shredded smoked Gouda, softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and minced garlic. Stir until well combined.
- Fold in the caramelized onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish.
