Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and minced garlic. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Gently stir in the thawed and squeezed-dry spinach and the chopped artichoke hearts until evenly distributed.
- Unroll the crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pinch together the seams to form a large rectangle.
- Spread the spinach artichoke mixture evenly over the crescent dough rectangle, leaving a small border along one of the long edges.
- Starting from the long edge with the filling, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
- Brush the top of the log with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
- Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious pinwheels!
Notes
- Make sure to squeeze as much water as possible from the spinach to prevent a soggy dip.
- If you don’t have fresh parsley, you can use 1 tablespoon of dried parsley.
- Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a little heat.
