- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces imitation crab meat, flaked
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sriracha
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 sheets nori, cut into squares
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour this mixture over the warm sushi rice and gently mix to combine.
- Press the seasoned sushi rice evenly into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the flaked imitation crab meat, mayonnaise, sriracha, sliced green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir until well mixed.
- Spread the crab mixture evenly over the sushi rice layer.
- Sprinkle the panko breadcrumbs over the top of the crab mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Serve hot with nori squares for scooping.
Notes
- You can use real crab meat instead of imitation crab for a richer flavor.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha to your preferred spice level.
- For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a sprinkle of sesame seeds to the top before baking.
