Ingredients

- 1 cup chopped ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 jalapeño pepper, finely minced (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, avocado, red onion, and cilantro.
- Add the lime juice and minced jalapeño, if using.
- Gently stir to combine all ingredients.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately or cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a milder salsa, omit the jalapeño or remove the seeds before mincing.
- This salsa is best served fresh as avocado can brown over time.
