Description
A refreshing and classic Greek dip made with yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and fresh herbs.
Ingredients

- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup finely grated cucumber, squeezed dry
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, and chopped mint.
- Stir in the olive oil and lemon juice.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled with pita bread, vegetables, or as a condiment.
Notes
- For a thicker tzatziki, use a thicker Greek yogurt or strain the yogurt through cheesecloth for a few hours.
- Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
- You can use other fresh herbs like parsley or oregano for variations.
