Description
Make this simple, creamy whipped goat cheese dip quickly. It pairs tangy cheese with sweet honey and crunchy pecans, perfect for parties or as an easy appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces fresh goat cheese, softened
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 1/4 cup pecans, toasted and roughly chopped
Instructions
- Place the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into a food processor.
- Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This usually takes 2 to 3 minutes.
- Transfer the whipped goat cheese to a serving bowl.
- Drizzle the top generously with 2 tablespoons of honey.
- Sprinkle the toasted, chopped pecans over the honey.
- Serve immediately with crackers or bread, or chill for up to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- To toast pecans, place them in a dry skillet over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring often until fragrant.
- For a holiday variation, fold in 1/4 cup of dried cranberries before serving.
- If you do not have a food processor, you can use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, but you may need slightly more heavy cream for smoothness.
