Description
Make this creamy, festive margarita featuring coconut and lime, perfect for your winter holiday gatherings. This recipe is simple to mix for individual servings or a party pitcher.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz cream of coconut (sweetened)
- 0.5 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1 oz coconut milk (full fat, canned)
- Ice
- Lime wheels and shredded coconut for garnish
Instructions
- Chill your margarita glasses. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rim into shredded coconut to frost them.
- Combine the tequila, lime juice, cream of coconut, orange liqueur, and coconut milk in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Seal the shaker tightly and shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled and slightly frothy.
- Fill your prepared glasses with fresh ice.
- Strain the mixture evenly into the prepared glasses.
- Garnish each margarita with a lime wheel on the rim.
Notes
- For a pitcher serving 6-8 people, multiply all liquid ingredients by 4 and mix them in a large pitcher. Stir well before pouring over ice in individual glasses.
- If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the cream of coconut to 0.75 oz per serving.
- For a slightly tart, festive twist, add 0.5 oz of cranberry juice to the shaker before mixing.
