Easy 3-Ingredient No-Bake Oreo Balls

  • Author: Ahazzam
  • Total Time: 25 min
  • Yield: About 30 balls
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Make classic Oreo truffles using only three ingredients. These no-bake balls are quick to prepare and perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate melting wafers or chips

Instructions

  1. Place all Oreo cookies, filling included, into a food processor. Pulse until fine crumbs form.
  2. Transfer the crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese. Mix with a hand mixer or sturdy spoon until fully combined and a dough forms.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate wafers according to package directions, usually in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift the ball out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  7. Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature, or chill briefly to speed up the process.

Notes

  • If you do not have a food processor, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush them thoroughly with a rolling pin.
  • For a decorative finish, sprinkle the wet chocolate coating with crushed peppermint or festive sprinkles before it sets.
  • If the cream cheese is too cold, the mixture will be crumbly and hard to roll. Let it soften completely.
