Description

Make crispy, flavorful roasted broccoli in the oven with garlic and Parmesan cheese. This simple side dish cooks quickly and is perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the broccoli florets in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss again until the broccoli is well seasoned.
  4. Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for crispier results.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the broccoli.
  7. Return to the oven and roast for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the finished broccoli before serving.
  • To achieve maximum crispiness, ensure the broccoli florets are dry before tossing them with oil.
  • If you prefer softer broccoli, increase the total roasting time by 5 minutes.
