Description

Indulge in these Salted Caramel Pretzel Brownies, a perfect blend of rich chocolate, chewy brownie, crunchy pretzels, and sweet caramel. A delightful sweet and salty treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pretzels.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the caramel into the batter.
  9. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  11. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For an extra gooey brownie, reduce baking time slightly.
  • Ensure your caramel sauce is thick enough to swirl without completely sinking.
  • You can use any type of chocolate chips you prefer.
