  • Author: Alexander Knight

  • Yield: 6-8 servings
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A refreshing and vibrant sangria perfect for any gathering, featuring a mix of fresh berries and sparkling wine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine, chilled
  • 1 cup sparkling wine or prosecco, chilled
  • 1/2 cup berry-flavored liqueur (such as Chambord or raspberry liqueur)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the chilled white wine, berry-flavored liqueur, and orange juice.
  2. Add the mixed fresh berries and orange slices to the pitcher.
  3. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, add the chilled sparkling wine or prosecco to the pitcher.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sangria over the ice.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a sweeter sangria, add 1-2 tablespoons of simple syrup or honey.
  • You can use any combination of berries you like.
  • Feel free to add other fruits such as sliced peaches or lime.
  • The longer the sangria chills (without the sparkling wine), the more the flavors will develop. Add the sparkling wine just before serving to maintain the fizz.
