Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp to the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet with the broccoli. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the shrimp and broccoli in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For a milder spice, reduce the amount of sriracha or chili garlic sauce.
- You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
- Ensure your wok or skillet is hot before adding ingredients for a good stir-fry.
